About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing transactions, and coordinating banking activities in a dynamic and fast-paced shipping environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities :
Post accounting entries in Danaos ERP (inflows & outflows).
Review bank account balances and coordinate with the Financial Manager for daily and monthly payment planning.
Conduct creditors aging analysis to manage outstanding payments.
Execute all bank payments (Foreign and Greek banks) with accuracy and compliance.
Manage daily communications with banks for all affiliated companies, ensuring smooth transactions.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
University degree in Accounting, Tax or Finance.
Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping accounting.
Knowledge of Danaos ERP.
High attention to detail.
